This is a delicious quick weekday dinner when you have kids that need to be rushed around to various activities. So next time you’re at the grocery store buy a few frozen garlic bread loaves, a bag of frozen crispy chicken tenders, a jar of pizza sauce, and some shredded cheese and you’ll have everything you need to pull off a yummy dinner in under 30 minutes.
- 1 frozen garlic bread loaf, about 10oz
- 1/2-1 cup of pizza sauce
- 6 frozen crispy chicken strips, (or Gardein Crispy Tenders for a vegetarian option)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, or more if you like it extra cheesy
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Microwave chicken strips or Gardein Tenders for about 30 seconds.
Arrange the 2 garlic bread slices buttered side up on a baking sheet. Arrange chicken strips or tenders on another baking sheet and bake both for 8-9 minutes. Bread should be lightly browned.
Remove bread and chicken from the oven. Spread desired amount of pizza sauce on bread loaves. Flip over chicken strips and arrange them on top of the sauce (I like to cut them into smaller pieces).
Sprinkle with desired amount of cheese. Place back in oven for another 7-9 minutes. Cheese should be melted. (In this picture I have one side that has less cheese as I have a son that doesn’t enjoy lots of cheese).
Serve with a fresh garden salad.
